Re: Come Fly With 2590

Looks great guys, happy to see a MAR team has decided to go the route of the winged triple lift.

PTO on your drivetrain?

Can't wait to see you at Hatboro.

How well does it work with just 1 extra robot, though? I imagine sometimes you'd need to swap a levitate for a robot for strategic purposes.

Excited to see a double lifter come out. I can’t wait to see how many teams will be able to reliably do this, it will change the game so much.

Re: Come Fly With 2590

It'd be interesting to see how much ground clearance is required to go onto these ramps. I've heard of some teams using 4" wheels this season, possibly causing issues with driving onto something like this.

Have you heard how those teams plan on driving over the roughly .875" tall electrical conduits? I've seen the same thing and don't know how teams are planning on dealing with those with such little ground clearance.

I have no idea how they will be able to. In a normal WCD configuration, you practically only have barely an inch of ground clearance, not including fastening methods (weld beads, bolt heads, pop rivets, etc.). There are other methods for a drive train such as sheet metal but it still seems difficult. I am more worried about the ramp. We are scraping some at the dead corner using 6" 6WD. After the first day I decided 8 4" wheels was going to scrape quite a bit on the ramp.

I thought about that. Most material has some sort of height, such as if they used 1x1 tubing or 2 x 1 tubing, but I feel like this would actually be a good place to use sheet metal. Just adding slight flanges would make things fairly strong. Can't wait to see the actual construction of this robot and how practical a design like this turns out to be.

Re: Nemesis 2590 - Triple Climb

Love it. I'm assuming your ramps are lightweight if so how much do they weigh?
