Spartan Series Seminars - 2018 videos are posted

This past August, 971 hosted the 2nd year of Spartan Series seminars with presentations covering a range of topics from robot design to creativity and innovation. Our goal is the sharing of knowledge 971 members have accumulated during their years of participation as students and mentors in FIRST and other STEM activities.

Some presentations this year were new, and others were based on presentations from last year.

Descriptions are available here.

Videos of new seminars:
An Overview of 971ís 2018 Robot: Sabina Davis & Annie Wang
Creativity and Innovation in the World of Engineering: Aren Hill
Selecting Gear Ratios to Build More Robust Robots: Nick Crispie
971 CAD (Complex, Accessible, Detail Oriented): Annie Wang
Motors and Motor Controllers: Brian Silverman

Videos of seminars created last year, can be found here.

Thank you to everyone who attended in person, it was a great experience for the members of our team and always fun to meet and learn from people on other teams.

Thanks to Sean Doherty for helping record and edit some of the videos.

Thanks for posting these, Steve! The Spartan Series seminars are an amazing resource for any team trying to learn some of the finer details of what makes a successful team like 971 tick. These are definitely going to be required viewing for students and mentors on 299. I hope next year we can attend in person!
