Class of 2018, Where are you applying?

With applications opening up (and some having been open since July ), I thought it might be time for this thread. Class of 2018 (myself included!) feel free to post where you are planning on applying! Alumni and current students: if you'd like, rep your school and answer questions below!

For me personally at the moment:

Northeastern University
Olin College Of Engineering
Worcester Polytechnic Institute
Stanford University
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo
an undecided UC

Potentially more but those are for certain. Interested in ME or double major ME/EE.

Looking forward to seeing more responses below!

Re: Class of 2018, Where are you applying?

UC Berkeley
MIT
Stanford
University of Minnesota

This is a short list, so I'll take recommendations if you have them. I plan on majoring in EE, and possibly a double major in CS.

If anyone has any questions about Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, feel free to PM me! I'm going into my junior year studying computer science and math.

Re: Class of 2018, Where are you applying?

I personally love physics and math and dabble in computer science. Sadly, I suck at them all. Here's my list:
Definitely:
Princeton
MIT
CalTech
Stanford

Potentially:
Harvard
UC Berkley
CMU
Cornell
Rutgers

I only differentiated in two lists because of how I'm applying.

I really want to be a Theoretical Physics major but I would be happy with Pure Math, Applied Math, EE or Computer Engineering.

Re: Class of 2018, Where are you applying?

My extremely long list:

Montana State University

I might apply to some out of state tech schools like RIT or WPI but I'm extremely confident MSU is the right pick for me. Declaring CS, potentially also majoring in EE.

Re: Class of 2018, Where are you applying?

Wow, after three full years, I can finally reply to this thread.

Since I'm majoring in Business Administration and not the usual EECS/ME/Physics, I'm going to schools different from the usual "CMU, Stanford, MIT" set:

Northeastern
Wake Forest
Babson
Santa Clara University
Villanova
Gonzaga
Tulane

Now all I gotta pray for is scholarship money

Re: Class of 2018, Where are you applying?

Is there such a thing as a "Glassdoor" type site for university admissions? If not, maybe we should start a thread. What I would really love to see is GPA, SAT Scores, University, Major, and acceptance (yay/nay). I'm very curious what it takes to get into some of these high-ranking universities you all have on your lists.

My school uses Naviance which displays previous acceptances and denials along with their GPA and SAT/ACT scores. If you really wanted, you could also sign up with US News and see what information they provide. StudentReviews also does a bell curve that places your scores on a graph to see where you match up when compared to other accepted students who indicated their scores on the website.

I can agree that the engineering building was less than impressive, however Tech Hall and the Von Braun building were much more impressive. If I wasn't looking at majoring in ME (which is primarily located in Tech Hall instead of the Engineering Building) Im not sure if UAH would be on my list.

Collegedata.com has an admissions tracker that allows students to put in their stats and compare with other students. As Jon also said Naviance, if available to your school, also has that ability. I believe Niche also has something along the lines of collegedata's tracker as well.
