Java Smartdashboard Editable Text Fields

Hello, my team just switched to Java this year and we were wondering if there is any way to add an editable text field to the Smartdashboard. We want to be able to wait for any number of seconds before our autonomous routine starts in case alliance members need to cross over where we drive, so we want to be able to type in the desired number of seconds and have this data sent to the autonomous code.

Thank you for the help!

Re: Java Smartdashboard Editable Text Fields

Take a look at the SmartDashboard methods that are available here: http://first.wpi.edu/FRC/roborio/release/docs/java/

putXXX() methods will put a value into the SmartDashboard.

getXXX() methods let you retrieve a value from the SmartDashboard.
