Re: FRANK MERRICK GIVES GAME HINT

This hint confirms that plastic chairs will NOT be next year's game element...unless Frank is using his expert level reverse psychology that may or may not exist.

I think summer's got to his head.

Wouldn't mind a burger-flipping cookout robot competition, though. The alliance that constructs the tastiest burger wins.

I believe in intuition and inspiration. Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution. It is, strictly speaking, a real factor in scientific research.

Countdown has 9 letters.
Water game also has 9 letters. Coincidence?
I think not.

Re: FRANK MERRICK GIVES GAME HINT

XD

What if chairs are like this year's rope? Teams bring their own chair to place on the field and the robot has to end the match on top of it. You guys thought the Velcro clarifications were bad. Wait till people start asking what constitutes a chair!

"FIRST Count Down" does have a certain ring to it however. What about "FIRST Seat Siege"? Or even still hows the verdict on "FIRST Monotone Enumeration"?

We've got a long time to get unhealthily creative with our speculations.

Welcome to the off season I guess.

Maybe he's telling us that if we want a good seat at next year's competition, we do have to bring our own, and he video was a large list of ones we can choose.

I don't know about you, but I like 95. Although, 14 sure caught my eye.

Counting down, and chairs.

Hmmmm, let's see. Ah, "Musical Chairs".

OK, my work is done here.

The main challenge with FRC bots playing Musical Chairs, of course, is that they're loathe to change the rule that field sounds failing to play does not constitute an Arena Fault.

"What do you mean you didn't hear the music stop? Weren't you watching the LEDs and the countdown clock?"
