5mm pitch HTD belt in Design Accelerator

I'm having trouble finding 5mm pitch HTD timing belt in the Design Accelerator (using Inventor 2012). Does it just not exist?

Re: 5mm pitch HTD belt in Design Accelerator

the belt generator also only gives me max of 260XL37 belt, but we are getting 524XL037 from gates, is inventor DA just that restrictive, or am I doing it wrong?
i'm using 2011 'cause school didn't feel like updating this year. if 2012 has more selection, i can use our team computer

2012 doesn't have a better selection.

We just designed a drive train using this belt. If you can explain a little more what you're trying to do I can help you out.

Did you use Inventor? What's your belt length?

Re: 5mm pitch HTD belt in Design Accelerator

Is no one going to answer my question?

I don't really have a problem with the fact that my thread has been hijacked, I'd just like to have an answer.

Re: 5mm pitch HTD belt in Design Accelerator

I am checking the specifications of the belts you have requested against the Gates information. Some possibilities,

1. Create the belt with Design Accelerator using the closest match. Then modify the Inventor paramaters to match the Gates parameters.
2. Use the data from Gates and then model the belt as a part. You have the length, sprocket diameters etc. So I think this is doable.

Will try to get back to you tomorrow.

Re: 5mm pitch HTD belt in Design Accelerator

52.4 inches seems to be in a deadband in Gates belts.

Can you adjust that length in your design? Add a snub pulley?
