FP planetary gearboxes?

Hi CD
We were wondering - do the old FP planetary gearboxes have the same ratio as the new ones (3.67:1)?

Thanks in advance!

Re: FP planetary gearboxes?

yeah. The thing is - we're from Israel. We ordered the AMP gearboxes
( http://www.andymark.com/amplanetary-p/am-0002.htm ) more than 3 weeks ago and didn't get them yet. Another Israeli team offered to lend us their planetary gearboxes, but they are from previous years and we're not sure that they have the same ratio..

Re: FP planetary gearboxes?

Fire an email off to one of the contacts at AndyMark. If you send a picture of the AMP, they can probably tell you quicker than any of us how similar it is.

However, that shouldn't matter unless you need to know for performance purposes. The gearbox itself will be legal as long as it hasn't been physically modified.

Re: FP planetary gearboxes?

99% certain yes as I just measured our 2 older (solid body) ones to be 3.7
