PWM Andymark Cables

Does anybody know if the red/orange/brown RC extender cables we got with the kit will work the same as Andymark PWM cables? We need more cables but there isn't a parts number displayed on the FRC website.

Yes, they will.

PWM cables have multiple color sequences; red/white/black is one of the most common. Red/orange/brown is not one of the more common ones I've seen.

I'm wondering if the color code is legal with respect to rule 46:

All active circuit wiring with a constant polarity (i.e., except for outputs of relay modules, speed controllers, or
sensor outputs) shall be color-coded as follows:
A. Use red, white, brown, or black with stripe wire on the +24 Vdc, +12 Vdc and +5 Vdc connections.
B. Use black or blue wire for the common or negative side of the (-) connections.

Basically, the rule applies to wires that are sending electrical current (not my field of expertise, so that's probably a terrible, simple way to describe it) and PWM's are SPECIFICALLY exempt from the rule/their color is not enforced.

Yes, they will work fine. They are both the same gauge and will conduct the current the same. When you are dealing with anything like that, you don't need to work about the brand of the connector. They are all essentially the same. The only time you should worry about the kind of cables or connectors you are using, is when you are dealing with high voltages, high amps, or any specialized electrical pulses. Do take care with your CIMs. Those can become very dangerous if you do not use the right gauge of wire or the connectors are poorly made. Pay close attention to the rule book when you are wiring those up.
