Arcade Drive Capabilities and Limits?

Hello,
I have a question regarding the capabilities and limits of arcade drive. We have our robot design and plan to have multiple functions on board, such as picking up a ball into an elevator, rasing the elvator and dropping it. With more than two functions and the potential need for 6 of the avaliable buttons plus the axes we want to use both joysticks in arcade drive mode. One using buttons one and the axes and the other with either axes and some buttons or buttons 2-6. The questions related to this are as follows:
A. Is it possible to read multiple joystick inputs in arcade drive?
B. Is it possible to read multiple axial inputs in arcade drive?( i.e using the axes of one joystick for movement an the other for spinning the elevator)
C. If B is not possible we have conceptualized a way to compoensate where we could use the buttons attached to the stick as axes. It there a way to disable the axial function of that joystick in labview or on the drive station as to not cause interference with the driver.
Thanks!

Re: Arcade Drive Capabilities and Limits?

Yes, this is all possible.

A. Yes. Open both Joysticks, set X axis of Joystick 1 to the X axis input of Arcade Drive, and the Y axis of Joystick 2 to the Y axis input of Arcade, or vice versa. (Although this seems VERY difficult to control!)
B. Yes. Wire the unused joystick axes to whatever other controls you want.
