Re: HELP! getting compressor to run
In this case, I would like to troubleshoot your code. Are you starting your compressor at the beginning of your code? Can you maybe paste your code here wrapped in code format? If your sure of your code, then I would troubleshoot the electrical behind the compressor. I would assume that is the problem: that you have the compressor/spike/pressure sensor hooked up wrong. I say that from personal experience because my team had that same problem as well. Make sure all of your coordinates in your code of where you prefer each component of your pneumatic system is correctly plugged into those specified spots.
US FIRST has a wonderful collection of PDF's which can guide you through on how to wire and hook up various pneumatic components. Hope this helps. |

Re: HELP! getting compressor to run
I don't know if this will help, but we struggled for 3 days with our compressor.
I tested the Spike relay with some other things and eventually confirmed that no relays would work... I suspected my programming, but after several hours of reading over it I could find no errors. Our mentor hit the robot out of frustration and everything spazzed out for a second. Turns out the ribbon cable was at fault. We never suspected it because everything except the relays worked fine. |
