Tricking out one's Dashboard

Hey, everybody, I'm the lead programmer for rookie team 4316.

Today, I discovered how to modify the Dashboard. Needless to say, there was a liberal application of stupid. Has anybody else every made aesthetic changes to their Dashboard, for no other reason than to look at it? If so, share. If not, WHY NOT?

Re: Tricking out one's Dashboard

I toyed with the idea a bit this year... figured something like this was in order.

Re: Tricking out one's Dashboard

The only non-functional change I've made to our dashboard is to display an image of Derpy Hooves when one of our two cameras are disabled.

I've been considering trying to infuse it with more pony, but I have a feeling the rest of the team wouldn't appreciate it.

Re: Tricking out one's Dashboard

Our programmers have done a lot of work with custom dashboards the past few years. I'll see if I can get one of them to share some of it with you, I don't have any pictures or specific details but it was set up to monitor pretty much every part of the robot and alert us to faults, motor failures, jaguar failures, etc.
