Pit station at competition
How will power be supplied? Does everyone need to bring a generator or will there be outlets for all of our tools?

Re: Pit station at competition
Power is supplied to each pit. It may vary by competition, but not by much since FIRST sets standards for what and how it is supplied.
You can expect a power drop into your pit that you can plug into. |

Re: Pit station at competition
Thank you! My team has no means of buying an expensive generator. Glad to know power is going to be supplied.

Re: Pit station at competition
Expect your team to have 2 outlets available at the worst possible part of you pit you can think of.
Bring a couple shortish extension cords(your pit is only 10x10) and a power strip or two. |

Re: Pit station at competition
Well, can you imagine 50 generators running in a closed building? Can you say illegal. In all fairness everybody has to use some common sense here. Even here at the Suffield Shakedown Scrimmage in Connecticut we provide power to every team. Don't worry, you won't have to worry about power. All regional events also supply some type of machine shop and advice from officials & other teams. Don't be afraid to ask for help. It will be there.
