Advise from a ref.
I have reffed two events this year and I would like to share a little advice for teams on avoiding fouls.
Those of you that are here at CD are the higher lever teams and people, you need to share these things with your alliance member to make sure they don't do things that costs you points.
#1 Coach driving robot - really a silly foul that we have had to call way to many times. make sure that yellow dot understands.
#2 Inbounder penalties - Touching the balls during hybrid period, not picking up balls out of the coral, stepping over the line, holding too many balls, putting balls on the ground, throwing over the wall to early, all these things happens way to often. Many times the inbounders are thrown into the game without much knowledge of the game, some just don't know the ball handling rules. Make sure your alliance inbounders understand all the rules. These penalties should never happen.
#3 Touching the opponents bridge - I can't stress this enough STAY AWAY FROM YOUR OPPONENT'S BRIDGE! I know you want that ball next to that bridge but is it worth risking a technical foul to get it? If you want to cross over the bump doesn't it make more sense to do it on your bridge side?
