After spening some time looking over all the robot pics online so far, I must say it's amazing! I think FIRST really made a great move taking off so many materials restrictions this year. It made for some pretty NICE looking bots. Finally, we were allowed to 'do it right', rather than searching through the materials list for the best substitution for the ideal material. Good call, FIRST!

And everybody, wonderful 'bots you've got. They're SO PRETTY!

: GREAT JOB dude!

Flattering, but unwarranted =)

It was purely a selfish effort on my part. I couldn't pull myself away! The 'GREAT JOB' should really be directed at FIRST for creating such an addictive game!

I think the tobacco companies could learn a lot from FIRST.

you know, i say the exact same thing to everybody! (i also started a team this year, like you) I tell them that it was really so exciting, so i HAD to do it again, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES. :-)

and the tobacco companies... i was tempted to call them as a sponsor. i decided against it no matter how tempting it was. i knew i could get them to sponsor, but we all know its repercussions.

hmm, what if i got philip morris to sponsor and give a NO SMOKING ad or something?

Actually, or slogan is 'We build robots that work.' ;-)

Kinda ironic that we're gonna be spending the regional putting together the pieces that we had to throw into the box five minutes before shipping.

We'll come through though...cuz slogans are always right, yah?

I heartily agree, the robots have a much more proffessional and finished look than they have in past years.

We tried to make this year's Rhode Warrior entirely out of metal and lexan, and we almost made it to...

There are several minor pieces of wooden rod and pvc pipe on the final product...mayber we will be entirely metal some other year.
