Re: Pictures of Everyone in Newton

Team 1111 has improved a lot since Chesapeake and is looking forward to competing in Newton!

We fixed our problem of having a motor still running on our CAN network causing us to not transition correctly from hybrid to tele-op that hurt us in the first half of our matches at Chesapeake. We have a new middle side hoop autonomous for more accuracy and consistency.

We are optimized to shoot 2 pt or 3pt shots from the fender but have the capability to shoot from the key or feed our partners across the field and play smart defense.

With our strong bridge manipulator we can lift the co-op bridge and hold it up for teams on the other side, or push it down and drive over. We balanced our last 6 matches in a row at Chesapeake (including elims).

With our back loaded CG, we can hang off half our robot off the bridge leaving only 24" of the robot with bumpers on the bridge.

[quote=kevincrispie;1160361]This is a link to 1622 not 1662. Both in the same division, so sort of confusing.

I was just about to comment on this but it seems that you beat me to it. In Central Valley it was even more confusing because there was a 1622, 1662, and a 1266.

ROBOTICS
Team #3930

Bowser is about 38 inches from front to back, and about 28 inches wide, a great size to fit on the bridge with the other robots! We were able to meet with other teams during the build season to practice balancing, and found that with good communication between the drivers of each robot we could work together to achieve the balance happen. Our team has a plan to make that happen as well, which we will share in our alliances! Bowser is also 4.5 feet tall, under the legal limit, which lowers his center of gravity, allowing him to maneuver more easily. Its weight of 120 lbs. is all muscle and no fluff, it is sturdy and can resist attack from other robots trying to push it around.

One of its many features is the arm, our drivers use the arm to lower the bridge, enabling not only itself to board the bridge but other robots in the alliance as well. Bowser is built on 8 wheels, linked with chain and powered by 4 CIM motors. The front of the frame is built at a 45 degree angle, raising the front wheel on each side to enable driving over the barrier. Bowser is capable of shooting 3 point baskets from anywhere on the court, but its success is most consistent from “in the paint”.
It’s our rookie year, but we have made great strides, give us a chance and be amazed at what we can do!!

68 has revamped our shooter, so no more high-contrast panels on the shooter wheels. The rest of the new specs are still under wraps. See you in St. Louis.

Re: Pictures of Everyone in Newton

Here's some solid video of MORT Team 11. They've gotten tons better since this event in week 5.
