Re: paper: 2012 Twitter data
The average red score was 26.399 and the average blue score was 24.772. That's a difference of 1.627 points per match. Does anyone else think that this is a significant difference.

Re: paper: 2012 Twitter data
I don't think so...if it were like, a 10 point difference I would say so, but I think it's just a random variance or something

Even over 6822 matches?

Re: paper: 2012 Twitter data
I would consider it a small margin, considering some of those matches are eliminations, where red is the higher seed and thus should put up more points.

Re: paper: 2012 Twitter data
Remember that in the eliminations, the red alliance starts out as the highest seeds. If you ignore the elimination matches, Blue has a slight advantage 22.36 to 22.12.

Re: paper: 2012 Twitter data
I forgot about red having the advantage of being the higher seed in eliminations. 0.24 is a much more reasonable margin.
