Veteran KOPs/pneumatic parts

Ok

So FIRST released some of the differences between the Rookie and Veteran KOPs. But what about items like compressors, presssure switches, etc. What does the Veteran KOP have with respect to widely used items such as these. I don't want to use my FIRST Choice points on a compressor, if a new one is coming in the KOPs. We have posted to the FRC Blog, but anyone out there any have suggestions or insights?

Compressors haven't come in the Veteran Kit for quite a few years.
You can look at last season's veteran Kit to get an idea, then probably subtract what's on FIRST Choice.

P.S.
For example, I'd guess that since the pressure switch is offered on FIRST Choice this year, that it won't be in the KOP box like it was last season.
Any choice with a quantity in the neighborhood of 2900, don't expect to see in the kit box.

Even when the compressor changed a few years ago, veteran teams didn't receive the new one. We had to purchase it if we wanted to use it.

I know they have said once stock is gone, it's gone, but given a how fast the Talons vanished, does anyone think they will be restocking, or should I just go ahead and purchase them?

It's a little different this year with the second phase of FIRST Choice opening up after Kickoff. The FIRST Choice stock will change at that point, but I infer that doesn't mean restocking any of the existing items currently available.

Personally, I'd go ahead and buy them if you don't want to wait until you've seen what the game is.

With my completely imperfect understanding of FIRSTChoice, it works like this:
A company wishes to support FRC teams, and does so by donating X items. It happens that X is less than the number of competing teams. So, rather than say "thanks but no thanks", FIRST distributes these donations through FIRSTChoice.
Once the items are gone, they're gone. No restocking.
(yes, I realize this is a gross overgeneralization of true events)

Last years veteran kit came with regulator, relief vlv, etc. But no compressor. Little bearing on what is in this years KOP I know. I wonder if the published variation list is complete.

In any case if you do not get a compressor, you can use last years or buy one without it counting against your spending limit. This is assuming that pneumatics are legal in 2013. Yes I know the implication of First choice selections is that they will be.
