Go to Post It's a good things we're engineers who regularly squeeze out 'miracles' with a severely limited budget, eh? I think that's an important aspect that we as mentors need to show the students from time to time, and this year is a perfect opportunity. - JesseK [more]

Programming the Hi Technic Force Sensor

Our team has a great idea for integrating a force sensor into our robot, however we are not sure exactly where to locate the proper blocks in LabView. Does anyone have experience in LabView with force sensors?

Re: Programming the Hi Technic Force Sensor

If a sensor produces an analog voltage, connect it to the Analog Breakout and use the Analog Input functions to define and read it.

You're talking about the NXT Force Sensor (NFS1074), right? Its output is a voltage that represents the amount of force pushing on the sensor.

Re: Programming the Hi Technic Force Sensor

''The Force Sensor is an analog sensor like the LEGO Light Sensor. Therefore the same way you read the LEGO Light Sensor can be used to read the Force Sensor value.''

Hope this helps!
