Go to Post No offense, but telling the Killer Bees they should do something is like telling Micheal Jordan how to dunk a basketball (or Lebron James for you young'ens who don't know who Michael Jordan is)... - Don Wright [more]

Team 639 Control System Beta and Kinect Webinar

Team 639 will be holding an online presentation this Saturday, December 15th, at 7pm EST. Targeted for teams of all skill levels in C++, in the first half we will be talking about what's new this year in the control system. For veterans, learn what's changing this year and how your code will need to adapt to the new libraries and templates, as well as the updates and improvements to the SmartDashboard system. For rookies, get a chance to see the brand new tools developed this year to make it easier getting started with your code.

For the second half, we'll be talking about how we got the Kinect to work on the robot in the 2012 game. Find out the unique advantages of the Kinect's infared camera for doing your vision processing. The challenges we faced, the solutions we found, and what we could have done better will all be covered. For less than $100, you could have the Kinect provided in the kit running on your robot!

Recordings and the presentation will be available online afterwards, but make sure to watch it live so that you can ask questions.
