Interesting that though the Grammy was won in 1996, the song was released in the US in 1995. The FIRST game in 1995 was Ramp n' Roll, Similar to "Rick Roll" No?

EDIT: Overview of Ramp n' Roll:

In two minute matches, three robots race down a 30-foot
raceway, over a speed bump just wide enough for two to
pass through, to retrieve their 24” and 30” vinyl balls. To
score, they must carry the ball(s) back up the raceway
and push or shoot the ball over a nine-foot field goal
from either the playing floor or a raised platform area, all
the while trying to keep their opponents from scoring.
Teams may score more than once with each ball – the
smaller ball is worth two points and the larger ball is
worth three points.

2013 Game Name: Seal the Deal

"Holding Weight" I believe, is the real hint here.
The second line corresponds to the first hint (Rick Astley)
The third line corresponds to the the second hint ("End of the world")

I still don't understand the Rose Kissed part.

Sorry... had nothing better to do.

"Kiss from a Rose" song lyrics:

Quote:
There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea
You became the light on the dark side of me
Love remains a drug that's the high and not the pill
But did you know that when it snows
My eyes become large
And the light that you shine can't be seen?

[Chorus]
Baby, I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey
Ooo, the more I get of you, the stranger it feels, yeah
Now that your rose is in bloom
A light hits the gloom on the grey

...
Lighthouses? When it snows == build season? IR lights?

Also was sung in the movie "Batman Forever" -- something about Dark Knights/Nights?

Re: 2013 ACTUAL game hint!!!

You are supposed to decode the list of numbers with a Base 18 or Base 20 number system, the same used on the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar mentioned in the Hint about a Hint.

So far, I have been unsuccessful. I believe that it may be encoded in Base 18 (the first letter in the list of names also correspond to the same) and then further encoded in Base 3 or incorporates it. As previously mentioned, The number of names in the list total to 18 when you add Frank's name.

So far, I have been using the Base64 and Binascii libraries in Python 3.3 to try encoding and decoding all of these. There is an online converter that takes numbers and converts them to different base-N configurations as well.

Re: 2013 ACTUAL game hint!!!

So we looked up the seal song and at the the minute mark the words are "if I should fall along the way baby"

In combination with the Rick astley 3 mins this is very interesting. "never gonna let you down"

When I first read "A DINNER, MISSED" my first thought was that a longer competition day to longer matches means that everyone misses dinner.

Everyone missing dinner because of robots... Oh, the memories of build season.

Why would T and G be represented by the same number except to draw attention to them? T97 is a Volkswagen model called the Tatra. It's a pretty well buried hint, but I am willing to believe in the rebirth of the tetra! G97 represents a variety of things including a certificate of fitness, CNC codes, and wind turbine. Everyone else can have fun with that one, my contribution is complete.

If so, this really was a good hint! Hats off to the GDC!

Personally, I prefer the picture hints, but hey, this is cool too!
