Laptop won't connect to wireless?

My personal laptop (that I've been programming LabVIEW on and drove our robot wirelessly with yesterday) can connect to our D-Link router perfectly fine. However our white clamshell laptop, for whatever reason, can't.
I've deployed code via ethernet connection from both laptops and everything, but the wireless itself will only work for my personal laptop (which happens to be the laptop we used to configure the router if i remember correctly)

Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it?

Re: Laptop won't connect to wireless?

Is your "white clamshell laptop" a Classmate E11 with a 250 GB hard drive that you reloaded with this year's image? The WiFi drivers in that image only work with the 160 GB version. FIRST included directions for loading the proper drivers at the end of the Classmate imaging instructions.

Otherwise, start troubleshooting with the obvious things. Is the laptop's wireless adapter enabled? Is its WiFi radio turned on? Does it see and connect to any other wireless access points?

You could also (obviously) check your IP adresses. That seemed to be a problem for my team last year.

Re: Laptop won't connect to wireless?

Something else to check - is the DLink set for 2.4Gz?
Some laptops have 5GHz capability, but the E11 Classmate you probably have only supports 2.4GHz
