Question LABVIEW WPI_PWMChannelcache.vi Error Message

Dear CD,
Upon exiting Labview, after building with the 2013 FRC Labview CD package with all 3 updates, I receive an error message every time I exit Labview. Searching through the Labview error log I see a file name of WPI_PWMChannelCache.vi. Is anyone else seeing the same Labview error reporting issue? Labview asks if I can send an error report and I am responding yes so the error message is being sent somewhere for review.

Re: LABVIEW WPI_PWMChannelcache.vi Error Message

Does the error occur when you close the VIs and project first? Or is it when you exit with lots of stuff loaded?

Greg, I typically save/close down the project first and all the VIs. I'm not in the habit of leaving VI's open.

Here's a printout of the log. I went into Labview, used yesterday's build with no errors, Build again with no errors, save all project, close all project, exit and the following error report was generated.

Re: LABVIEW WPI_PWMChannelcache.vi Error Message

At least it's a "Nonfatal insanity", but only the men in white coats can help.

Re: LABVIEW WPI_PWMChannelcache.vi Error Message

I'm not a LV expert, but I used to program with it, and an "insane" object is something that has gone very wrong, and it means that it didn't pass some sort of test. I've never seen an error like yours, where it says "nonfatal insanity", but if you changed anything on the wpi_pwmchannelcache vi, try changing it back. Also, you might want to try redownloading/installing the plugins.

Re: LABVIEW WPI_PWMChannelcache.vi Error Message

No need to redownload at this point. I have put on my white coat and see that there is indeed a simple nonfatal insanity -- surely that terminology make sense to everyone, even if you don't work on the LV team?

In plain English, it means that the objects didn't pass their Integrity Test, also known as the Sanity test. The failure has to do with a few front panel objects that are left over from prior edits to the VI. A button on the front panel accidentally left behind two graphic objects that are no longer needed or used.

At this point, please ignore the notification. I believe you can even turn it off in the Tools Options dialog or at the bottom of the notification dialog. I expect this to be fixed in a future download.
