Need Help Reimaging Classmate E12

A couple members of my team have tried following the instructions on how to format the classmate on a couple of different of computers. We encounter an error while RMprepUSB is trying to extract the image with 7zip. We would like to use our new classmate as soon as possible, so if anybody has encountered this problem and fixed it, please respond!!

Re: Need Help Reimaging Classmate E12

The usual problem that I've seen with this has been corrupted or incomplete downloads of the image file. You may need to download again.

Check your files size. If it doesn't match, then that's your problem:
  • E09-DRV = 4.12
  • E09-LV = 5.11
  • E09-C++ = 4.53
  • E09-Java = 4.42
  • E11-DRV = 3.97
  • E11-DEV = 6.31
  • E12-DRV = 3.79
  • E12-DEV = 6.32

Thanks for the advice, I checked and that looks like the problem, but how do I fix that, I've downloaded it multiple times and it's pretty much always 2Gbs?

Re: Need Help Reimaging Classmate E12

Is this a brand new Classmate you just got this year?

It sounds like it might be an issue with your computer or Internet provider.
Any other place you could try the download from on a different computer using a different Internet provider-a relative or friend's house or school maybe?

Do be careful that the computer you use to download saves to an NTFS file system not FAT32. Don't try to download to a USB stick for instance which typically come formatted FAT32. FAT32 only allows files up to 4GB, so it'll just stop at 4GB.

Any other nearby teams that might have the image you need or a rookie team who got the stick in their KOP?

Re: Need Help Reimaging Classmate E12

Okay, I found the problem thanks to you
So the Problem was that I kept trying to save it to my desktop, which somehow limited my space to 2Gbs, I changed to one of my harddrives and now it's starting the full 6.3Gb download! Thank you so much!
