Off-Season Field Rentals?

(First of all, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum — everything's just kinda jumbled here in the General Forum. Everything else seemed too directly related to competitions and robots. )

So, our team is currently in the process of arranging a few robotics outreach events for after the game season (please be patient, fellow Michigan teams — we'll announce them once we have the details worked out! ), and one of the features we're trying for is to have a game field set up at the venues for teams to hold unofficial matches in. For any team that attended Maker Faire last summer, yes; that's the kind of field/setup we're looking for, except for the 2013 game.

One of my teammates made a mention of some group that builds and rents out full and half-sized FRC game fields, but he didn't know the name or where they're located. I've tried searching for anything even remotely related to "field rentals" and "FRC game field," yet I haven't been able to find anything at all...
Does anyone know where such a thing could be found? Did anyone help coordinate Maker Faire, and if so, where did you get the field from? How much do field rentals generally cost for a weekend?

Any help is greatly appreciated. (Also, I hope your build season is going great! This sure is a unique challenge with Frisbees...)

Re: Off-Season Field Rentals?

Try getting ahold of Andy Baker, I am pretty sure that AndyMark has a field that is used at IRI and other off season events.

Here's the link to the page on the AndyMark website where they offer their field for rental.

Re: Off-Season Field Rentals?

Contact MI events such as MARC, WMRI and Kettering Kickoff to see where they get their fields. I would think they use the fields that FiM owns.

Re: Off-Season Field Rentals?

Dan1038 & andgordo558: Ah! Thank you. I didn't know AndyMark had a field.
It seems as though the shipping/transport will cost more than the actual rental for us.

Good point! Thank you. A more local source would certainly be easier to ship from.
