Communication Problem

Hello Chief Delphi,

We have a problem with the communication between the computer and the Robot.
When we connect to the Crio or to the radio directly with the LAN cable, we dont have any problems at all..
But when we try to connect to the robot with Wireless, the communication is lost every few seconds for something like 7 seconds and then the connection returns again, the problem is not with the Crio or the rest of the robot because when we connect the computer directly the connection is good, I dont think that the problem is with the radio either because we tried to connect to two different ones and the problem was with both of them.
We dont know what is wrong and if it is a problem with the hardware or with the software, please help us to solve this problem.

Re: Communication Problem

I would check your cpu usage on the crio, and also how much network data you are using in each connection mode ( use task manager's networking tab for a graph)

Do you have the same issue with default code? If yes, then your problem has to do with the connections. If no,then your user code is suspect.

Good luck!

Re: Communication Problem

It might be interference from other devices. Do you have a 2.4 GHz cordless phone nearby? What other wireless networks are in the area? If you can do a scan and find a relatively clear channel, you can log on to the D-Link and configure it to use that channel.
