Max Vision Processing Range?

Does anyone have info regarding max range of the out of the box vision processing LV or JAVA code? We would like to get a handle on Vision processing max range capability under laboratory/competition settings: theoretically, as measured at 1/2 scale, measured full scale, ... Effects of target illumination intensity, field lighting effects, image size, frame rate, color vs monochrome.

TIA

Re: Max Vision Processing Range?

Much of this is in the white paper.

To compute the max range. you calculate the distance on the field where the 4" tape line will only be recorded on the camera sensor as 2 pixels wide. You can calculate this or try to measure it with different camera resolutions.

The other factor to consider is whether the ring light is bright enough at greater distances. Again, you can calculate or measure.
