Wireless internal communications?

I'm actually on the programming team. But I know our electronics team is having trouble finding space for some of the wiring without getting in the way of major components.
So I wanted to ask CD if it was possible to use a system like IrDA (infrared data association) or Li-Fi (optical Wi-Fi) to cut down on this.

AFAIK these two systems require line of sight so there shouldn't be issues with the other bots (in theory)

R62 seems pretty clear to me. If you want to ask for an exemption from R62, your team would need to ask on the Q/A.

Mostly I was asking about technical feasibility but if it's not allowed the point is moot
