Default Dashboard still running after setting up SmartDashboard

My team spent today settung up assorted things on the driver station. One was the new version of SmartDashboard.

We've followed the instructions on ScreenSteps including changing the DashboardCmdLine to the SmartDashboard exe.

When starting the computer and entering into the Driver profile, it seems to start the default Dashboard first, then a few moments later SmartDashboard. I am not sure why it starts the default dashboard as it is no longer referenced anywhere in the proper ini fileas far as I can see.

I searched a bit but couldn't find anyone with the same problem, although all the references to SmartDashboard and Dashboard seem to melt together in any search.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

Re: Default Dashboard still running after setting up SmartDashboard

Did you select the appropriate button on the Driver Station Setup tab for the Dashboard you are using?

When you exit the Driver Station normally it saves it permanently.

Actually, you should just be able to change tabs in the DS and it will be written out. It will also write out when the DS exits, provided you don't kill it in some rudely.

Didn't think to try that or poke around in there. Thanks!
