Go to Post Titanium is almost twice as heavy as aluminum. I can have the bragging aspect of making a bullet resistant robot, but if someone is coming into a competition and shooting my robot, I have more important things to worry about! - Andrew Blair [more]

4272 Mavericks: Electrical "Cube"

Our electrical team got a little creative this year and built this:

It holds every single piece of electronics on the robot: battery cables in, giant anderson plug out.

Isn't that going to take up a lot of room on your robot?

Nifty an compact electrical layout you have there, but I strongly recommend you look at locating you radio elsewhere. Sticking it in the middle of all that electrical noise isn't going to do any favors for you reception on the field.

Re: 4272 Mavericks: Electrical "Cube"

The dimensions of the cube are 11.5"x13"x13". And that's actually a big point we've been debating as to whether we should move the radio out or not. We just really like having all of our electronics in one, removable cube.
