Strange Joystick Issue

We were at a practice session today and our robot code was working. We went back out on the field and did not have any inputs from joysticks. We have checked all the connections (Diver's Station shows the joysticks connected and working). We have reimaged the cRIO and reloaded the code, yet we still get no joystick inputs into the code and no feed back on the dashboard that there is any joystick input.

Has anyone seen this? We have a couple of guys at the practice look and still no solution. Thoughts? Things to look at? Won't be able to test until tomorrow but it would be great to have a few thoughts to look for in the morning.

Thank you,

Chris

Re: Strange Joystick Issue

Something to try is Test.
  • Choose Test Mode on the Driver Station Operation tab.
  • Enable the robot
  • Go to the Test tab on the default Dashboard
Every device opened in your Begin.vi will be displayed.
Look for the joysticks and watch the values as you press the buttons, etc.

That will tell you if the joystick is Opened properly and if it matches the Driver Station Setup tab joystick positions.

Re: Strange Joystick Issue

Thank you for the reply Mark, I will try that in the morning. I just spent some time creating a new project and rebuilding our code just in case there was some strange issue there that I was missing. Tomorrow should be a "fun" morning.

Chris.
