If an alliance wins say the Hub city regional and are elligible for nationals, can they still compete in other regionals? Even though they are already eligible for nationals?

*Championships. Sorta the wrong place to put this, but I'll answer. Team are allowed to compete at as many regionals as their budget and time may allow, regardless of eligibility to Championships.

Yea. In fact, there have been quite a few teams in the past that have participated in 2 or more regional events and have won all of them. For example: 2056 every year they've existed.

That said, this year, if a team has already qualified, they will create a "wild card" spot that will go to the next team in line at the regional. For example if 1114 and 2056 win Waterloo, the alliance captain and first pick of the finalist alliance will qualify for Champs. Source.

It's pretty interesting to note that, since 610, 781, 1114, 1241, 2056 and 2809 all qualify for champs, that there's a good chance that the wild card might just end up as an empty slot.

Now that I see all of these teams here, I realize that this wild card thing is going to be pretty interesting to watch, especially at GTR/W when more teams in Canada will get a shot at it.

Re: High Score

Well, 2 wildcard slots will be created (assuming 1114/2056 win as #1 alliance), and likely #2 alliances that would be favorites for Finalist might be like 610/1241 or 610/3683. The wildcard passes down to the Finalist 2nd pick if the Captain/1st pick are already qualified too, so its possible 1 of the wildcards would go unused (in the 610/1241 case) but unlikely that both would go unused.
