Chairman's award video credits
We are creating a chairman's award video in hopes of receiving the rookie all-star award. We are wondering if we are allowed to use the student's full last names in the video credits or only thier last initial. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Re: Chairman's award video credits
Why would you possibly think you couldn't use their names?

Re: Chairman's award video credits
There could be many reasons to not use full names and identifying information, particularly for minors. Parents could probably tell quite a few. FIRST does not restrict names in credits of the video. School rules might.
However, there is a simple solution. Either only use first name and last initial, or get a form from the parents that says, in effect (talk to your local lawyers or school administration for exact wording), "We have no problem with the use of our child's name and/or likeness if the robotics team is doing it." Assuming such a form has not already been signed with school paperwork and officials, that is. |
