FIRST Choice on BOM

Hey everybody,

I am trying to wrap up the Bill of Materials for the team read somewhere that there are many parts in First Choice that you can claim, meaning they cost "no money" on the bill of materials.

Assuming this is true, how many parts can I claim being from FIRST Choice?

Re: FIRST Choice on BOM

R11
The total cost of all items on the ROBOT shall not exceed $4000 USD. All costs are to be determined as explained in
Section 4.1.3: Budget Constraints. Exceptions are as follows:
A. individual fasteners, adhesives, and lubricants, that are less than $1 each and
B. Kit of Parts (KOP) items
KOP items include First Choice.
Inspectors like when teams list the items used on the robot even though cost is $0. It allows us to compare what we see on the robot to a known list.

Re: FIRST Choice on BOM

Gunn, there are many things made available via FIRST Choice such as the relief valve and pressure gauge that were already at the shop. These are the types of things I am curious about, whether or not there is a limit to the items that we can claim since they are offered on the KOP.

Much like how even though we didn't receive a CRio this year, we can claim it KOP because it is made available in the KOP.
