Small Wheel Horseshoe Shooter
Hello everyone,
Over the last couple days, I have spent some looking at all of the different shooter designs teams used for Ultimate Ascent. I particularly fancy the small wheel implementation typically run off bane-bot wheels. I have seen several teams use 2 or 3 of these wheels in a linear design to make powerful, compact shooters. I was curious however if any teams used just 1 of these wheels in a horseshoe design and had some success. Links to videos would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Re: Small Wheel Horseshoe Shooter
We have a single 4" wheel at about 8000 RPM in a 90 degree wrap-around design. Works great. Video It was really a pain to fit everything in this asymmetrical design. Here's a picture of the whole robot. Here's a picture showing the shooter better.
Code Orange 3476 has a very similar design but I think they use a 5" wheel. Last edited by sanddrag : 07-07-2013 at 15:13. |
