Rookie Team Support - Best Process of Acquiring new Workstations?

Hi,

I am working with a local rookie FRC team that needs to acquire a few workstations to get started with CAD. Does anyone have suggestions on the best method for acquiring new machines via grant or education program?

Re: Rookie Team Support - Best Process of Acquiring new Workstations?

We've gotten our CAD workstations almost exclusively from the school-- our school has a set of Windows machines for flight simulators which we have set up on a network for CAD and six fairly recent MacBooks that run Creo just fine in Boot Camp, each of which is assigned to a specific subteam.

I don't really have any advice on grants, but if the team is attached to a school it might be worth it to see if the school has any computers that can run your CAD program of choice effectively.
