great story about 3 D printer

This story captured my heart!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT37...woptions=false

We just got one of these Makerbots funded through Donors Choose in like less than a week! Amazing! Can't wait to use it!

Bald & Bearded is on a distinguished road
Re: great story about 3 D printer

This is a super story and a great instance of collaborative distributed design.

If you are interested in robot hands or complete robots check out InMoov
http://inmoov.blogspot.com/

The hand is pretty straight forward to build. I have gotten one together.
I had a servo burn out so am reassembling it now but a picture is attached.

I want to tackle the whole Robot as an off-season project.

Re: great story about 3 D printer

That's quite interesting . That shows the possibilities of using a 3D printer!
The part I do not understand is how the finders are controlled!
However, I hate to be negative, but that seems like an advertisement. There are 3D printers way better than the MakerBot!
