Students/Veterans - how to FIRST inspire you to program?

Hello CD,

I am a 3rd year CpE/EE at Michigan Tech and I am creating a video project for a class which is arguing the addition of more coding in high schools. For the video to be a little more inspiring, it would be awesome if I had some testimonials from first Alumni who are now programmers in college/ workforce. The video should be only about 20 seconds long and should answer the following question,

"How has FIRST inspired me to become a programmer?"

Anything would be appreciated, and if you wish to remain anonymous I can do so. It's not that big of a deal, it's merely a school project.

Wink Re: Students/Veterans - how to FIRST inspire you to program?

That is a very good question!

FIRST Inspires me to program because in robotics, there is no end to improvement. I may start off with a robot code that drives the robot forward to shoot, but end with a robot with complex vision tracking algorithms, to shoot every frisbee on the floor into the 3point goal and then drive over to the feeder station, all autonomously!
