Your team should check out the software documentation resources of WPIlib this year. It includes extensive documentation of vision processing including full code examples for hot zone detection in Labview, C++ & Java.

Set up to move to a specific low goal (or high)
Move at start and get there within 3 sec.
Check for the Hot Spot --Yes=dump no= wait
wait for hot (if was no) dump when YES.
Setup for start of teleop.
