Regardless, this discussion is not something that really needs to be brought up again. While 190 in 2008 is one of those "infamous" robots (along with 1519 in 2008, 68 in 2003, etc.), the topics here have been hashed out repeatedly and the rulings are no longer particularly relevant. |

In all seriousness, this was supposed to be a fun post to get a few laughs. As the Styx song goes "[we've] got too much time on [our] hands"
We know it's certainly not legal for the 2014 because of a variety of reasons. Additionally, the legality of our 2008 robot does not really matter. It's been 6 years! No one except our team, the referees at our events, and the GDC has all the information on exactly what happened, so those are the only folks with any real authority to comment on the matter. It was what it was, it is what it is, so let's all worry about the 2014 game! |
