FMS & DS Radio HELP

Hello,
We are a rookie team and have been trying to get our robot to at least move. We have re-imaged the CRIO twice and tried most all troubleshooting. The error codes we are getting have to do with the DS Radio.
(Warning <Code> 44002 occurred at Ping Results: link-GOOD, DS radio(.4)-bad, robot radio(.1)-GOOD, cRIO(.2)-GOOD, FMS-bad Driver Station
<time>1/15/2014 8:42:44 AM<unique#>18
FRC: Driver Station ping status has changed.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. The FMS and the DS Radio light are not lit on the driver station.

Re: FMS & DS Radio HELP

How is your driver station connected to your robot?

Right now the message you posted is saying that your driverstation (DS) is actively communicating with the crio. That's a good thing. That means the networking is all up and running from your DS computer all the way to the cRIO.

You're not going to get Field Management System (FMS) communications, since an FMS is only present at a competition. That's ok.

So it looks to me like everything's working correctly.
If you're unable to Enable and control your robot, the next few things to are whether there is robot code loaded and running. (See status pane section - #3 at link below). And that your joysticks are connected and on the port your code is expecting them at (Setup tab section - #6, at link below).

There's some useful information on the at the following link with more details about what the different areas of the DS mean:

I would also suggest going through the articles at the following link. There is a lot of good information available.

Re: FMS & DS Radio HELP

That's not an error. It's just reporting which IP addresses are responding to pings, and it looks perfectly fine to me.

What it's telling you is that you have no DS radio. That's normal. It's talking about a separate wireless router that used to be necessary five years ago, when the robot bridge wasn't capable of being an access point itself.

It's also telling you it is not communicating with the Field Management System. That's normal. The FMS is only present on a competition field.

Basically, as long as it says "cRIO(.2)-GOOD", your network connection is okay. Any problem you are having trying to get your robot to move is not related to that "Warning <Code> 44002" message.

Re: FMS & DS Radio HELP

Thanks for the fast responses, the robot code light is green. Would there be a place that we can just grab the simplest code just to move forward to troubleshoot that?
The joysticks are in the proper place and we have tested them to make sure they work.
Right after we posted this one of are team members pointed out that there's also a "FRC: Driver Station ping status has changed" not sure if that helps or makes it worse.

Re: FMS & DS Radio HELP

Thanks for the help guys, we figured it out. We had a bad cable from the cRIO to the driver side car.
