SolidWorks Electrical FIRST Kit of Parts Beta Program

We are looking for teams to participate in our SolidWorks Electrical FIRST KOP Beta Program.
Any FRC team can participate with SolidWorks Electrical Schematic. No SolidWorks experience is required. This is a separate 2D software application.

SolidWorks teams can participate in both SolidWorks Electrical Schematic and SolidWorks Electrical 3D. SolidWorks 2013 is required; this is the current SolidWorks sponsorship, Academic Year 2013-2014.

We ask teams to review the SolidWorks Electrical KOP and give us feedback on how we can make the KOP and Electro/Mechanical and Control System process – easier.

If you applied for SolidWorks sponsorship, you should have received your SolidWorks Electrical download instructions and serial number.

Apply for SolidWorks and SolidWorks Electrical at www.solidworks.com/FIRST

Download SolidWorks Electrical KOP at www.solidworks.com/FIRST to a separate folder.

Post any questions/comments about SolidWorks Electrical and Share your FRC SolidWorks 3D Model Image at www.solidworks.com/SWEductionFacebook_FIRST.

Read the Getting Started document available in the SolidWorks Electrical KOP folder or directly http://www.solidworks.com/FIRST_SWEl...GettingStarted
Using SolidWorks Electrical Schematic provides information to your electrical and control team members through:

• Line Diagrams
• Power Schematic
• Control Schematic

SolidWorks Electrical 3D gives you the ability to bi-directionally connect your 2D schematic to your 3D SolidWorks model.

Share your comments on SolidWorks Electrical FIRST Robotics Beta Program and Your FIRST Robot Images at www.solidworks.com/SWEductionFacebook_FIRST

Congratulations to Team Rembrandt, Netherlands for being selected for our SolidWorks Education Facebook Event cover image.

This is the start of something big. Thank you for being part of the development process. We appreciate your feedback. Marie

Re: SolidWorks Electrical FIRST Kit of Parts Beta Program

We downloaded and extracted the .tewzip file on our Win7 x64 workstation, but when we double click, it asks what we want to open it with. We tried the solidworks executable, but no go. Any advice?

You need SolidWorks Electrical.

The symbol looks like SolidWorks but with a bolt of lightning going through it on you desktop.

Did you download SolidWorks Electrical

Re: SolidWorks Electrical FIRST Kit of Parts Beta Program

Below is the message that SolidWorks sponsored FIRST teams were sent to obtain SolidWorks Electrical:

As members of selected student competitions your team is being offered our full version of SolidWorks Electrical Professional-SEK Edition software (at no charge) to complement your existing SolidWorks design software. This software will streamline the schematic design of the electrical system of your robots. You can then use the schematic details to help drive your 3D mechanical design in SolidWorks.
Here are steps for downloading our full version of SolidWorks Electrical Professional-SEK Edition software.
This software is for use on the team’s computers and not for use on school computers. As a reminder, this version will not run on Windows® XP.
Get full system requirements at: www.solidworks.com/systemrequirements .
NOTE: You must have SolidWorks SEK Edition 2013-14 SP3 installed on your computer before continuing with Electrical Professional- SEK Edition.
Follow this link to the Electrical SEK software: https://transfer.ag.3ds.com/bds/Logi...cjhldbkkdi 20

Please search for this email in your sponsorship package. The download includes SolidWorks Electrical installation instructions.

This number is not your SolidWorks serial number. It is a separate application

I can't find the electrical kop on the page you reference - only the CAD kop is there. What happened to the electrical?

Re: SolidWorks Electrical FIRST Kit of Parts Beta Program

Go to www.solidworks.com/FIRST download the FRC KOP August 2014.
You will need SolidWorks 2014 and SolidWorks Electrical. Apply for sponsorship at www.solidworks.com/FIRST.

We appreciate feedback from Beta last January - we are now ready for teams to use SolidWorks Electrical.

Read the Getting Starting document in the zip file.

The SolidWorks Electrical files are based on the 2014 KOP. We are building the SolidWorks Electrical 2015 KOP for kickoff in January 2015. Marie
