Go to Post I'm a bit wary about playing on the new fields, however, because of the Carson/Carver/Hopper/Tesla Curse. I hear no alliance from those divisions has ever won championships. - [more]

Re: Connecting hub sprockets to shafts

Other on team #639, Red B^2, from Ithaca High School and Cornell University.

Thanks to all who posted advice regarding connecting the sprockets to shafts. After some hard work trying to convince others on the team, we took the advice of Raul and Paul. We were able to machine a hole centered exactly tangential to the inner circumference of the hub... We even managed to cram a square peg (keystock) in a round hole! Anyway, it appears to work very nicely on our drive system and I see no possible way of breaking it.

Thanks again!

Patrick
