Purchasing A Game Field

Each year I see Teams with what look like Full built First fields like Team 118 from last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DojyJ9bZ4fk

The Loading stations and pyramids look like they have been made in house but the field itself and surrounding gates/driver station areas look like the first fields. My question is how did they get one? or did they just custom build it themselves from the drawings given each year by first?

Thanks

Take a look here:

Basic Field drawings are the field that was used year after year. Team version drawings are designed for teams to attempt if they have the resources.

Re: Purchasing A Game Field

As mentioned the drawings are available for you to do it in house or contract with a company to fabricate the basic field perimeter. For the PNW district we got quotes from local companies but found it cheaper to contract with the company that builds them for FIRST and pay the shipping charges. The polycarb was sourced locally from a company that cut it to size.
