Motor Drives Move w/o Commands???

We have connected our drive train motors to both Victor and Jaguar motor drives and they won't stop moving. As soon as we insert a circuit breaker into the corresponding Power Distribution Board port for the motor drive, it will begin spinning the wheels and continue spinning until we disconnect the circuit breaker but we haven't put in the commands through LabView. Is this normal or do we have a problem? Please help us! This is our first year doing this and we haven't been able to figure it out!

It sounds like you may have hooked up the speed controller backwards.

Sounds like it. Make sure the wires from the PDB are going to V+ and V-, while the wires going to the motor are running from M+ and M-.

Remember that the speed controllers have no protection against something like this. If by some chance they still work now, I personally would not trust them during a competition environment and would replace them just to be sure.
