Should I use iterative robot?

I've heard from some teams that Iterative robots has many more merits that SimpleRobot and that I should use it for our comp. bot.

Should I and why?

The choosing a base class document had a description of both. In my experience, anything more then a very simple robot that uses simple robot ends up looking like an iterative robot.
