Re: pic: Autonomous malfunction
Been there, ran from that.
We had the same problem but the robot tried to escape by running into the arena wall. Good new though, our forks survived ![]() |

Re: pic: Autonomous malfunction
I know what you're talking about. The robot eventually stopped chasing me and proceeded to decimate the Ping-Pong table.

Re: pic: Autonomous malfunction
You need to put on some muscle. You won't be able to run very far or fast if the robot decides it wants to avoid ping-pong tables in the future.

Hey ! You're from Team Titanium! I think that I saw an awesome video of the Kraken from last year. Man, that bot was intimidating to see!

Re: pic: Autonomous malfunction
We had something happen similar this year. We were testing out the code for our catapult shoot series and someone came in from the CAD team and picked up the controller to get a measurement for it and place it upside down on the table. This caused the robot to take off full speed towards a student sitting in a chair. Luckily one of the programmers has quick reactions and was able to disable the robot before it did any damage.

Re: pic: Autonomous malfunction
At least you don't have to get a new Ping-Pong table.
Either that or my dad can fix it. ![]() |
