Re: WildStang 2014
That anodizing is gorgeous. Nice to see some color on a 111bot.
Are we getting a video this year? |

Re: WildStang 2014
The best part is that you brought back the bouncy balls in the rollers.
Awesome looking robot. Can't wait to see it at Wisconsin and Midwest this year. |

Re: WildStang 2014
Gotta send a shout-out the Stang electrical sub-team. Most space-limited wiring job the team has ever faced.

Re: WildStang 2014
Are they just for decoration?

Re: WildStang 2014
Yeah, the balls are only for decoration. And this year, we didn't have to drill them for weight!

Re: WildStang 2014
There's a lot going on in that thing, especially in the bottom. WOW. It's kind of amazing to look at and try to figure it all out.

Re: WildStang 2014
I see those little balls inside. Are those intake rollers run by squirrel power?

Re: WildStang 2014
The rollers are run by a Banebots 550. These were not plugged in in the photos.

Under the catapult is the PD board and 6 victors. Under the PD board is the air tanks, solenoids and tubing. Up the back are more victors, the cRIO and pneumatics components. It's very dense, to say the least. But the students that wired it up did an amazing job keeping it so neat and compact so that nothing gets torn out by our shooter. ![]() |

Re: WildStang 2014
I really like how they have polly-cord running the intake rollers. That is a clever solution to get rid of having to create a chain or pulley system, it kills two birds with one stone. It saves weight and it reduces space.

Re: WildStang 2014
OOPS! Looks like we forgot to tie down the 5 volt convertor. Add that to the list.
