Autonomous Ruling Question
On our robot, to enable autonomous we have to click "enable" on the driver station.
But as far as I understand we cannot touch the console at any time during Autonomous, so how is auton enabled? |

Re: Autonomous Ruling Question
I believe that FIRST has a remote enabling device for Autonomous, teleop and disabled.

Re: Autonomous Ruling Question
I see, that's what I assumed but I thought it was quite silly so I decided to ask.

Re: Autonomous Ruling Question
A more complete answer is that when your robot is connected to the field system and your driver station is plugged into the field network, your driver station switches to FMS Locked mode, and the front panel no longer gives you the ability to enable the robot in auto or teleop. These functions are solely under control of the Field Management System at that point, and FMS controls all 6 robots on the field in an equal way on the scorekeeper's command.

Re: Autonomous Ruling Question
The FMS will send the robot the signal to enable and start the autonomous sequence.
