Welcome to Week One!
Week one is almost upon us! The competitions this week are: Central Illinois, Palmetto, Alamo, Inland Empire, Centerline, Southfield, Granite State, GTR-West, Auburn-Mountainview, Mt. Olive, and Hatboro Horsham.
I'm personally going as a spectator to Granite State. I'm looking forward to seeing 1519 and 131 while I'm there. Some other teams I'm looking forward to watching this week are 610, 188, 772, 1241, 1310 and many more at GTR-West, 1986 and others at Central Illinois, 118 and 148 at Alamo, 341 and 25 at Hatboro-Horsham, 33 at Southfield, and 1678 at Inland Empire. Where will you be for week one? if you aren't going anywhere, what events or teams are you looking forward to? What do you expect to see for Aerial Assist in week one? Re: Welcome to Week One!
2851 will be attending the Center Line Michigan District Event.
I look forward to seeing and working with 217 and 1718 along with the rest of the competitors. 7 rookie teams will be in attendace to show us what they are made of along with 9 second year teams. |

Re: Welcome to Week One!
I'll probably be watching the webcasts off and on. But I plan to head over to Lubbock to watch the Bit Buckets play in the Hub City Regional the following weekend.

Re: Welcome to Week One!
Team 3175 will be at Centerline as well. I hope my alma mater (of sorts?) does well!
I'm really interested in catching this year: it seems unpopular with teams, so I hope someone out there decided to try it out and will show that almost every team undervalued the mechanic. (Maybe that team would define high level play the way I remember 469 almost did in 2010; that would be awesome.) I'm totally biased here because our team began thinking we'd be a catcher bot but that never worked out. Anyway, should that end up happening, I don't expect Week 1 events to be the ones that would show this, but here's hoping. |

Re: Welcome to Week One!
Teams that can quickly receive the ball from the human player will be a great asset in the 30 point cycle of HP->first robot, Truss shot-> other HP, HP-> second robot, second robot-> high goal.
Will be watching the Alamo and Palmetto from Florida. Looking forward to watching 4451 and 624 before they make their way to Orlando! |
