I'm collecting information to understand which groups have lobbied for STEM education.

1. Have any FRC teams or related organizations lobbied politicians for STEM education?

2. Since FIRST promotes competitions not curriculum,
Is there a central organization that FIRST teams can rally around to lobby significant government changes to the educational curriculum?

Team RUSH advocates at the State and National levels. They've been doing so for about 6 years, and since last year they have been bringing other teams along with them. Here's the thread from this year on the subject.

Students talk with state organizations like MEA, Network of Michigan Educators and Michigan PTA as well as national organizations on trips to DC. The main focus is talking to congressmen and senators directly on topics such as bills benefiting the expansions of effective STEM programs and the re-authorization of ESEA (No Child Left Behind).
